In any particular country the existence of quality R&D infrastructure is a necessary basic condition for carrying out top quality research comparable within international standards. To meet these conditions it is necessary to support sufficient number of professional researchers as well as adequate R&D technology and equipment. In Slovakia the situation is critical mainly due to lack of proper material equipment preventing quality research teams to fully employ their potential. Even the best scientist cannot carry out quality research while depending on such outdated research and development infrastructure.
